Slack integration
Get an instant Slack message in the channel of your choice every time someone submits, no more refreshing a dashboard.
What it does
Post each submission to a Slack channel via an incoming webhook. Delivery is asynchronous and retried automatically, and any credentials you enter are encrypted at rest.
Step 1: set up Slack
Do this once in Slack to get the details you'll paste into ShipMyForm.
- 1Create an Incoming Webhook. At api.slack.com/apps, create (or open) an app, enable Incoming Webhooks, and add one for your target channel.
- 2Copy the webhook URL. Copy the https://hooks.slack.com/… URL it gives you.
Step 2: connect it in ShipMyForm
- 1Open your form's Connectors tab. Choose slack from the connector list.
- 2Enter your details. Paste Slack incoming webhook URL from the steps above.
- 3Add and test. Click Add, then Test to send a sample submission and confirm it arrives.
What you'll enter
- Slack incoming webhook URL: Create one at api.slack.com → Incoming Webhooks.
Use cases
- Real-time new-submission pings for your whole team.
- Lead alerts routed to a sales channel.
- Ops and support notifications where your team already works.
Route Slack (and everything else) from one form.
A submission can fan out to as many connectors as you like.
